DR. David Gonzalez, MD
Dr. David Gonzalez, M.D. is a highly experienced physician with over 60 years of clinical practice in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine. He is currently the Medical Director and attending physician at David Gonzalez MD PA, an internal medicine practice located in Greenacres, Florida.
Dr. Gonzalez earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia, in 1960. He began his clinical training with an internship at San Juan Hospital in Bucaramanga, Colombia, before relocating to the United States in 1963. He completed a rotating internship at Bergen Pines County Hospital in New Jersey (now New Bridge Medical Center), followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, NJ, and a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in East Orange, NJ (1963–1967).
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Gonzalez served as Chair of the Internal Medicine Department at Universidad Industrial de Santander in Colombia from 1967 to 1971, where he played a leadership role in curriculum development and clinical training for medical students.
Dr. Gonzalez later returned to Newark, NJ, where he operated his own medical practice from 1971 to 1983, with a focus on internal and pulmonary medicine. His clinical expertise includes preventive adult care, diagnosis, and management of complex chronic conditions such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), as well as advanced pulmonary function evaluation and respiratory disease management.
Since 1983, Dr. Gonzalez has practiced medicine in Florida and has been affiliated with JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, FL. He is fluent in both English and Spanish and maintains a strong commitment to delivering culturally competent and patient-centered care.

She brings over a decade of experience in healthcare administration, having served as an assistant at Dr. David Gonzalez MD PA for the past 13 years. Marta is known for her dedication to patient care and operational efficiency.
Prior to her role in healthcare, she worked at El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, Colombia, where she gained valuable experience in customer service and logistics.
Marta holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Bogotá, Colombia.
